We Are Ambassadors for Christ

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 – NASB

It is important that we keep in our mind that the person we are sharing with needs to hear God’s voice, not ours. We need to seek the revelation that the Gospel is the power of God for salvation so that we can completely surrender to the Holy Spirit as we share the most powerful message in the world. The Gospel of the Kingdom.

Instructions

Once you have memorised the script, we encourage you to personalise your own presentation. What follows is simply a guideline to get you started. You can use the poster size pages on a stand for street presentations, or a handheld version for personal presentations. Or you can do it without any aids at all.

Friendship Evangelism: When someone approaches me to do the Good Person Test, I use the first page as my friendship evangelism page.

It only takes about three minutes for someone to like you enough to allow you to connect with them. They won’t care what you have to say unless they can see that you care about them.

The following is just one example of how I share the Gospel with someone who approaches me. Or if an opportunity presents itself, it’s very easy to direct the conversation and turn it into a spiritual one.

It is very important to be led by the Holy Spirit and flexible in your presentation.

The idea is to get the people you are sharing with to compare what they think makes a good person, to what the Bible says a good person is according to the 10 commandments. This gives the Holy Spirit the oportunity to convict them of sin, righteousness and the coming judgment, and prepares their heart so that they can receive the good news of the Gospel. Then you can give them the ‘Good News’. The 10 Commandments shows them their true condition before a Holy God. The Gospel shows them what God has done for them to be saved. The 10 Commandments is the diognoses, and the Gospel is the medication that brings healing.

We use the 10 Commandments to break the hard heart and allows the Good News of the Gospel to heal the broken heart. See Hell’s Best Kept Secret.

But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully,

1 Timothy 1:8 – NASB.

The Key To Effective Evangelism. Revelation!

Remember the Key To Effective Evangelism is to have the revelation that the Gospel is the power of God for salvation Rom. 1:16, and that you are an Ambassador of Christ, and God is going to cry out through you as you proclaim the Gospel 2 Corth. 5:20. And also that faith comes by hearing the word of God. As you share the Gospel, God will impart the faith they need to enable them to believe Rom 10:17.

I have found this to be the single most powerful and empowering revelation. This is what will give you the confidence that you need, that will take away your reliance on how good you are at presenting the Gospel, and allow you to trust in the POWER of the Gospel through the Holy Spirit, to reveal Jesus to the person you are ministering to. Knowing that they will have an encounter with God as you witness to them. This is something that you MUST pray about, and seek the Lord for!
