The Same Message the Apostles Preached to Everyone

Ephesians 2:8 NASB
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

“As an ambassador for Christ, I speak to you with the authority of His Word. As you hear this message, I can assure you that you are hearing the very voice of God making His appeal to your heart—calling you to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ.”

Listen carefully to what God says:

Every single one of us was born already separated from God and spiritually dead because of sin (Ephesians 2:1–3). Sin came into the world through the first man, Adam, and because of that, death came to everyone—because everyone has sinned (Romans 5:12). The Bible says plainly: no one is good enough, not even one person (Romans 3:10). We were born enemies of God, headed straight to the lake of fire—eternal punishment that was made for the devil and his angels (Revelation 20:14–15). Unless God steps in with mercy, every person is already condemned (John 3:18).

How do we know we’re sinners? Look at the Ten Commandments—God’s perfect standard.
Be honest with yourself:

  • Have you ever told a lie—even a tiny one?
  • Have you ever taken something that didn’t belong to you, no matter how small or worthless?
  • Have you ever looked at someone with sexual desire outside of marriage? (Jesus said that’s the same as committing adultery in your heart.)
  • Have you ever used God’s name as a swear word or thrown it around carelessly?

Those things didn’t turn you into a sinner—they just prove what you already are: guilty before a perfectly holy God. God’s Law is like a mirror that shows us the dirt on our face. It shows us we need someone to clean us, someone to save us. It drives us to Jesus.

Here’s the amazing good news:

While we were still sinners and enemies, God loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to rescue us (Romans 5:8). Jesus, who never sinned even once, lived the perfect life we could never live. Then He took all our sins on Himself and died on the cross in our place.

While we were still sinners and enemies, God loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to rescue us (Romans 5:8). Jesus, who never sinned even once, lived the perfect life we could never live. Then He took all our sins on Himself and died on the cross in our place.

On that cross He took the full punishment we deserved—He drank every drop of God’s anger against our sin. He was punished so we could go free. Three days later He rose from the dead, proving that the debt was completely paid and that He really is God.

Because of what Jesus has already done, God now offers you total forgiveness and a brand-new life as a free gift. You don’t earn it. You don’t work for it. You simply receive it by trusting Jesus alone.

How do you receive it?

You don’t get saved by repeating a special “sinner’s prayer” like it’s a magic formula—words by themselves don’t save anyone.

You don’t get saved by repeating a special “sinner’s prayer” like it’s a magic formula—words by themselves don’t save anyone.

You are saved the moment you truly believe in your heart this simple message the apostles preached:
“Jesus died for my sins, He was buried, and He rose again—and I’m trusting only in what He did to make me right with God.”
When you believe that with all your heart and openly say, “Jesus is my Lord,” God saves you right then and there—forever (Romans 10:9–10, 13).
From that moment on, you belong to Him, you are forgiven completely, and nothing can ever separate you from His love. You have eternal life that can never be lost.

Being “born again” means God gives you a brand-new heart and a brand-new life on the inside. It’s not you trying harder to be good—it’s God making you a completely new person who loves Him and hates sin. This happens the instant you trust Jesus alone.

A Serious Warning

Some people preach a different message: “Yes, Jesus died for you, but you also have to get baptised, keep rules, go to church, do good works, or hold on until the end to really be saved.” That is NOT the gospel the apostles preached.

Some people preach a different message: “Yes, Jesus died for you, but you also have to get baptised, keep rules, go to church, do good works, or hold on until the end to really be saved.” That is NOT the gospel the apostles preached.

The Bible says if anyone—even an angel—preaches “Jesus plus something you must do,” that message is cursed (Galatians 1:8–9). It cannot save you. It only tricks people into trusting themselves instead of trusting Jesus alone.

Run away from every “grace plus works” teaching like it’s deadly poison. Trust only the simple message the apostles gave us.

Here is the true message that saves:

Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day.
Anyone who believes in Him—trusting only in what He did—is given eternal life right now.

Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day.
Anyone who believes in Him—trusting only in what He did—is gifted eternal life right now.

  • Believe this message with your whole heart today.
  • Tell Jesus right now, “I trust You alone to save me.”
  • He will never turn you away.
  • This is the only message that saves.
  • Believe it—and God will make you His child forever.
